Lighting Up the Community: Comprehensive Commercial Electrical Services for Bible Christian Church
Situation Overview

The job called for an interior remodel of the existing space and 19,000 square foot addition which consisted of a lobby, dynamic community spaces and a 500-seat sanctuary. 3G was chosen as the trusted electrical contractor for the job, tasked with the design and build of the electrical system for the current building and the new one. The goal was to deliver a new and improved and code-compliant electrical system while ensuring construction didn’t disrupt ongoing operations of the church. Anticipated challenges included:
Majority of construction occurring while the original building was in use.
Implementing cost-saving strategies without sacrificing quality.
Ensuring safety and minimal downtime during project timeline.
The Solution
With strong knowledge and expertise in commercial electrical projects, 3G provided valuable insight and strategy for the project, working with the design team and general contractor Hutton Construction to plan and implement and changes to the project plan that resulted in substantial savings for the customer. 3G’s approach to successful projects includes assigning a project manager to every job and maintaining constant communication with the design and construction teams. On-site execution was led by an experienced foreman with a team of 4–6 electricians managing each phase of work which included:
Underground install
Electrical distribution throughout the building
Wiring for indoor lighting, fire alarm system, HVAC units, emergency lighting, etc.
Inspections with a general contractor
Handling any changes and creating real-time solutions throughout the build
The Result
The efficiency and forward-thinking collaboration of 3G and additional construction companies resulted in the Bible Christian Church facility opening ahead of schedule in early summer 2024, providing a fresh, modern and safe gathering space for the community that seamlessly blended the familiarity of the existing space supplemented by an exciting newly constructed area for churchgoers to enjoy. An early completion date also led to further cost savings for the customer. In addition, this project resulted in an up-to-date, modern electrical system that is safe, long-lasting, and will meet the long-term needs of the space.
